Thank you for visiting our website

As our population and society continue to grow and age at an exponential rate, with the largest group of people over 60 in our country's history, one thing is clear - we need realistic answers in order to care for our seniors and those who care for them. With an overwhelming lack of time, resources and money, families are frantically searching for solutions - most in crisis.

The good news is that there are tremendous resources for seniors and resources for caregivers available for each unique situation. The bad news is that the proverbial question persists…"Where do I find help when I need it?"

Over 10,000 Americans turn 60 each day. This is one of the most profound demographic developments we have ever seen. The fastest growing age group in the U.S. today is 85 and older. These people want to remain vibrant and independent for as long as they can. We are helping them do just that.

Because 77% of the nation's wealth is controlled by seniors, it is vital to help them preserve their assets so that they don't outlive them. Life expectancy today is 77 years! Today's seniors are happier and healthier than their predecessors, and face the real prospect of living longer than most ever imagined. But, living longer has special challenges all its own.

Who are family caregivers? Someone who helps a relative or friend with the things that he or she cannot do for himself or herself due to the disabling effects of chronic medical conditions is considered a caregiver.

"The typical caregiver is a 46 year old Baby Boomer woman with some college education who works and spends more than 20 hours per week caring for her mother who lives nearby. Female caregivers provide more hours of care and provide a higher level of care than male caregivers. Almost seven in ten (69%) caregivers say they help one person. The average length of caregiving is 4.3 years."*

"Many caregivers fulfill multiple roles. Most caregivers are married or living with a partner (62%), and most have worked and managed caregiving responsibilities at the same time (74%)."*

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, there are approximately 96,000 adults over one hundred years old living in the United States. By the year 2050, there will be an estimated 2,203,000. This will be attributed to longer life expectancy and medical technology.

The need for caregiver resources is the overwhelming factor. While the majority of caregivers typically find initial resources from their doctor, spiritual community or neighbor, solutions come too slowly. Challenges stack up quickly, trapping the caregiver with no time and too much on their plate. The caregiver is the one who usually pays the price; burning the candle at both ends. Caregivers typically lose 3 to 10 years in life expectancy, by ignoring their own health, family and career to care for a loved one.

The mission of Resources for Seniors & Caregivers is to answer this need: delivering senior care resources and solutions for those in crisis and providing expanded choices and options for those planning ahead.

We are here to help you - now!
